Principality of Monaco
Since 2017, the Principality of Monaco supports the World Heritage Marine programme to strengthen the conservation and scientific understanding of marine sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The partnership includes a strategic collaboration in the context of the Monaco Explorations through which marine sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List benefit from the results of the scientific expeditions. The partnership further assists in bringing much needed attention to the challenges marine World Heritage sites encounter around the globe. The Principality of Monaco has a great tradition of sea explorations to promote scientific learning and raise public awareness to benefit of ocean conservation. The current project runs until end 2021.
