Government of Spain

Type of donor:
Country

The Government of Spain, starting with its major financial contribution to the Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund (MDG-F) established in 2006, has assisted countries in the implementation of the 2005 Convention. The link to the Convention was established through the thematic window on “Culture and development”.

Support provided helped the Secretariat produce key advocacy materials. These included printed copies of the Convention text, the website, video resources, brochures, presentations, and training manuals for youth. Spain’s contribution also meant that the Secretariat could hold advocacy events, including information workshops, with different stakeholders.

Spain is Party to the Convention since 2006.
