Safeguarding World Heritage: UNESCO Asia-Pacific In Graphic Detail #6

World Heritage sites are a vital link to our past, yet in the Asia-Pacific alone, six are registered as in danger, with threats ranging from conflict and climate change to overdevelopment and mismanagement. Marking UNESCO’s 73rd anniversary and the 1972 adoption of the World Heritage Convention on 16 November, UNESCO Bangkok is highlighting safeguarding World Heritage with the sixth in a series of infographics released in recent weeks.

These infographics convey core concepts of UNESCO’s work in areas that profoundly affect the lives of people throughout the region.

We encourage everyone to share widely and utilise these resources in their own projects and campaigns.
