Highlighting the Global Declaration on Connectivity for Education at the 2021 mEducation Alliance Symposium

2021 mEducation Alliance Symposium session Connectivity Declaration

On Monday, 27 September 2021, under the umbrella of the Futures of Education, UNESCO will lead a session ‘Towards a Global Declaration on Connectivity for Education’ at the 2021 mEducation Alliance Symposium. The session will provide an overview of the Declaration which gives orientation to international and national efforts to use connected technologies to support the right to education in the ‘new normals’ emerging from the pandemic and at a moment when digital spaces are, in many contexts, becoming increasingly central to our lives and learning.

UNESCO is a founding member of the mEducation Alliance, formed in 2010 with a view to bring together government and donor policymakers, other investors, researchers, and practitioners to in promoting the sustainable role of technology in education to advance quality educational outcomes, particularly in lower-resource, developing country contexts.

The session ‘Towards a Global Declaration on Connectivity for Education’ will be held on 27 September 2021 from 09:30 to 10:30 am (EST).
