Internet Governance Forum 2021 - Internet United
This year, UNESCO is organizing nine sessions in the 16th Internet Governance Forum (IGF), an annual global multistakeholder platform that facilitates discussions on public policy issues pertaining to Internet governance. UNESCO will underline issues related to enhancing transparency of internet companies, strengthening diversity and inclusion in AI work force and enhancing capacities of legal systems to deal with AI.
The IGF is a key outcome of the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) that mandated the United Nations Secretary-General to formally convene the Forum.
