ISARM2021- International Conference Transboundary Aquifers: Challenges and Way Forward
The Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) and the International Shared Aquifer Resources Management (ISARM) initiative is organizing the Second International UNESCO Conference on transboundary aquifers “Challenges and way forward” from 6 to 9 December 2021, entirely virtually from UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
ISARM2021 will provide the opportunity to present an updated overview of the world inventory of transboundary aquifers. The event aims to be an opportunity for showcasing diverse efforts made by UNESCO, the International and Donor community (the Global Environment Facitily (GEF), the World Bank (WB), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), etc...) to streamline groundwater as an enabler for achieving the water-related SDGs and present an updated overview of the world inventory of transboundary aquifers and its management regarding divers subjects worldwide.
