Roundtable on Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Ethics of Genome Editing
The fourth roundtable on Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Ethics of Genome Editing, on the theme "Future of Humanity with Emerging Technologies", will be held virtually on 20 January 2022 from 12:00 to 14:00 (GMT+1).
This is the final part of a series of events organized by UNESCO since 2018, with financial support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. Building on previous roundtables, this concluding event will focus on the future of humanity and how people will or should live with these new technologies.
How can we ensure that all human beings benefit equally from these technologies? What are the ethical implications of these technologies? Who should regulate these technologies and how?
Gathering eminent experts from different continents, the roundtable will consist of two panel discussions on
ethics of genome editing, and
ethics of AI.
