Let the world hear about YOUR own experience of this COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past weeks, maybe months, you have been taking action and developing many creative ideas to face these challenging times, whether by helping your community, finding innovative learning ways, keeping a positive spirit, taking care of your relatives and loved ones, and much much more.

Young people at the forefront
This storytelling initiative is part of UNESCO’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is meant to put the spotlight on young people – how they feel, how they act, how they thrive during these challenging times
Some media have reported negative actions and even stigmatized young people for their response to COVID-19, "Young people don't respect confinement", "young people don’t care about spreading the virus", are just some examples that made headlines.
Yet, young people are day-in-day-out proving to be key actors when it comes to finding solutions to global problems – from the fight against discrimination, climate change, gender equality, and many other issues. Today, at a time of an unprecedented health crisis, you are once again on the front line. More and more of you appear to be pioneers when it comes to inventing new forms of solidarity.
Sharing is caring
Because sharing is caring, we invite you to further amplify your voice by sharing your story through our social media channels (UNESCO’s Twitter, Facebook and Instragram accounts, UNESCOYouth Facebook Page), our website (UNESCO’s website), our Field Offices and our networks over the world.
That’s not all – your written and video testimonies will also contribute to the upcoming "Youth as Researchers - COVID-19" project, which will collect and consolidate knowledge and data on, by and with young people around a series of key issues arising from the COVID-19 crisis (e.g. inequality and discrimination). The project will also examine the impact of the crisis on young people (especially young women - who are out of school or unemployed because of the crisis) and how they affect or trigger resilience. The project - developed in collaboration with UNESCO Chairs - will provide a basis for skills development and virtual mobilization of young people for the collection and analysis of data.
