UNESCO IITE and the Znanie Network University held a crash course on media and information literacy for teachers

a new course on MIL

On November 25, 2021, UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies for Education (UNESCO IITE) and the Znanie Network University held the crash course on media and information literacy for teachers at the platform “Ready for the digital world”.

The course was moderated by Andrey Vilchinsky, digital projects curator at the Znanie All-Russian society. It included the following presentations:

  • Media and information literacy competencies for teachers: UNESCO recommendations

Tatiana Murovana, programme specialist at the Digital Pedagogy and Learning Materials Unit, UNESCO IITE

  • Kazakhstan experience on integration of MIL into education: curricula, techniques, learning materials

Gulnar Assanbaeva, PhD, Associate Professor, regional consultant on media literacy, Internews in Kazakhstan

  • Building media competence of students within the integrated model of media education

Anna Gimelberg, Russian language and literature teacher, media educator, the Second Gymnasium of Novosibirsk
