Since 2015, IIEP-UNESCO Dakar has supported Mauritania in the implementation of numerous reforms and initiatives aimed at strengthening its national vocational training system.
IIEP-UNESCO Dakar has been supporting Burundi in the analysis of the education and training sector since November 2019. This work will lead to a State Report on the National Education System (RESEN), which will update the previous report (2016) and feed into the country's Education Sector Plan.

After a long process of consultation, design and validation, which began in July 2017, three Regional Partnership Frameworks (CRP) have been created by decree of the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, for the agriculture, construction and public works and fisheries sectors, respectively for the Gorgol, Nouakchott and Nouadhibou regions.
