Digital Literacy & Artificial Intelligence Webinar Series

The Online Learning Consortium (OLC), a United States-based nonprofit community of education leaders and innovators with the support of UNESCO IITE and Shanghai Open University (SOU) are launching a new webinar series to foster thought leadership across the international education community regarding digital citizenship, digital literacy, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications for teaching and learning. This series are conducted within the joint UNESCO IITE – SOU project “Promoting ICT Capacity Building and Open Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies”.

This five-part webinar series is being made available free to both the OLC community and larger international community through OLC’s partnership with UNESCO IITE. In support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, which highlights inclusion and equity, quality of education and lifelong learning, this webinar series is set to overview ICT-enabled solutions and best practices while generating dialogue and discussion about disruptive innovations and related trends now impacting the global digital learning field.

Webinar topics—including Data Analytics; Adaptive Learning; Disruptive Innovation; and Simulation, Immersion, and Gamification—connect to OLC’s on-going research efforts with and for UNESCO IITE. These include an on-going collection of best practice case studies from around the world which will drive a forthcoming recommendation framework and evaluation system for digital citizenship education literacy.

Webinar presenters hail from leading national and international institutions in the field including Arizona State University, Motlow State Community College, Lamar University, and the New School/X-Reality Center as well as top education and digital learning organizations including North America’s Association of Public Land Grant Universities (APLU), Digital Promise, and the International Centre of Excellence for Innovative Learning (ICEFIL).
