Objectives

The course aims to equip university officials responsible for quality management with innovative options and good practices for the development of an IQA system in their HEI.

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • choose among several options for the focus and orientation of their IQA system;
  • identify tools and procedures for an integrated IQA system to enhance teaching and learning at their university;
  • analyse the link between IQA and employability, and identify tools and processes through which this link can be strengthened; and
  • design an effective and well-supported structure for IQA.

Participants' profile

This course is designed for university officials in charge of quality management (vice-rectors for academic affairs and quality managers at the central and decentralized levels).

The participation of women professionals is strongly encouraged.

Please note that participants must have reliable access to the Internet and meet the requirements described in the Annex, ‘Technological requirements’.

Applications

IIEP-UNESCO and Norad will select a maximum of 10 universities that are part of the NORHED II programme to participate in the course. Each selected university will be invited to assemble a group of participants (3–5 members), who will work together as a team for the duration of the course.

The deadline for applications is Monday, 6 September 2021.
