From 27 to 30 October 2021, representatives from UNESCO learning cities and further experts from around the world will come together for the fifth International Conference on Learning Cities (ICLC), hosted by the UNESCO learning city of Yeonsu, Republic of Korea.

Under the theme ‘From emergency to resilience: Building healthy and resilient cities through learning’, representatives and experts from UNESCO learning cities, UN agencies, regional organizations, non-governmental organizations and the private sector will discuss the power of lifelong learning to foster health and resilience.  They will identify public policies and planning approaches that support building resilient learning systems in cities, and share experiences on the implementation of local actions that foster health and well-being. As a hybrid conference, the fifth ICLC will offer online and offline spaces for networking among participants.
