This document proposes to the 65th session of the IBE Council, the 2016 work programme and budget for review and clearance. The proposal is made against a backdrop of the recently adopted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); particularly SDG4 and the global 2030 education agenda which are duly recognized.
The proposed work programme and budget also take full cognisance of UNESCO’s mandate, core functions, guiding documents such as the C/4 and C/5 as well as their related Expected Results (ERs), the Sector strategy 2014-21 and the IBE Centre of Excellence (CoE) strategy.
