The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education organised the Meeting of Experts “Education via the Internet” and the Workshop “Internet Usage in Education”. The event took place in Minsk, from 1 to 4 March.
During this Meeting, the Institute elaborated and distributed the analytical survey, titled “The Experience of Internet Usage in Education”. This document outlined the programme and major themes to be examined at the Meeting in the light of the objectives set.
The Meeting mainly focused on the following topics: experience of the most effective internet usage in education; merits and demerits of information systems on the education via the internet; the establishment of a series of modules relating to the use of the internet in education.
During the meeting, Belarus State University and the Ministry of Education of Belarus also organized cultural programme for the participants.
