Melbourne organizes “The Stories We Tell Ourselves” project

When:
Mon, 11/01/2021 to Thu, 12/02/2021

Melbourne, (Australia), a UNESCO Creative City of Literature, is bringing together 20 writers, publishers, agents and researchers from Australia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the occasion of “The Stories We Tell Ourselves” project, an online series of conversations focusing on the power of literature to help people reimagine, rethink and rebuild the surrounding world.

Organized in cooperation with the Literary organization “Spread the Word” and the Wheeler Centre, the initiative is also supported by the UK/Australia Season Patrons Board, the British Council, and the Australian Government.

From 01 November to 02 December a varied range of industry professionals will be engaged in sharing knowledge, stories and experiences to open up conversations on equity and social justice about the power of storytelling.

Through “The Stories We Tell Ourselves”, Melbourne aims at providing a space for reflection and challenge, in line with the UCCN’s mission of sharing experiences, knowledge and best practices and fostering the development of partnerships associating the public and private sectors.
