About the project:

The project aims to encourage follow-up events to be organised in other neighbor countries to continue the promotion and awareness-raising initiative of the convention. To do so, the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (National Academy of Fine & Performing Arts) of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs organized a three-day ministerial Forum in 2012, invited and encourage more countries in the Asia-Pacific region to ratify the 2005 Convention.

Results:

Adopted the Dhaka Declaration where Asia-Pacific nations proved their commitment to promoting cultural and creative industries and to strengthening regional cooperation in this area
