Lucina Jimenez holds a Phd in Anthropological Sciences and is a specialist in cultural policy and development, cultural management, entrepreneurship for artist and arts education and citizenship, themes on which she has lectured on or consulted extensively in Latin America, South Africa and the U.S.A. She has been consultant for OEI, OEA, AECID and Andres Bello Agreement. She has built capacities for governance in culture, cultural industries and creativity policies, arts education, cultural rights and development in Honduras, Mexico and Colombia. She is involved with the Commission of Culture from the World Cities and Local Governments Network (CGLU) to accompany local governments to structure their cultural policies and programs focusing on sustainable development, from the proposals of the New Agenda 21 for Culture. She made the transversalization of culture in the Mexico City Government General Development Program, 2013-2018, as part of the Planning Committee, as well as accompanied the program Cultural Industries, citizen training for creativity and entrepreneurship skills in the arts. She is participating on the reformulation of the indigenous city and urban cultural development programs at Mexico City Secretary of Culture and working with the Secretaries of the Economy and Culture to design intersectorial collaboration for the creative economy policies.
