The Panafrican Festival of Kinshasa

Launched in July 2021 by the Panel in charge of accompanying the Democratic Republic of Congo to the Presidency of the African Union, fiscal year 2021-2022, the Pan-African Festival of Kinshasa (FESPAKIN) is called to be, from 2022, an essential meeting of African artists.  This festival open to the diversity of practices (visual arts, live performance, photography, music, dance, culinary arts, modeling ...) will make a deserved place to innovative knowledge from the land.

The House of African and Afrodescendant Culture

Based on an original idea of the Presidency of the African Union, the House of African and Afrodescendant Culture which has its headquarters on Avenue des Mandariniers, in the Commune of Gombe in Kinshasa, is a place of exchange, reflection, and contemplation intended to stimulate artistic creation in a friendly setting open to Africans of the continent and the diaspora.

The 1st Pan-African Colloquium on Albinism

The panel in charge of accompanying the DRC to the Presidency of the African Union organised the first pan-African colloquium on albinism from 19 to 20 October 2021 in Kinshasa to take stock of the situation of people with albinism in Africa in order to take urgent measures to combat all forms of discrimination based on colour.

The Amani Festival of Goma is a festival for peace in the African Great Lakes region. The next edition will be held from February 4 to 6, 2022.

The Makutano

A renowned business platform, Makutano has been bringing together economic champions from Congo and the sub-region as well as decision makers since 2016 to create high-value synergies, develop business opportunities and produce the collective economic intelligence capable of sustainably transforming the region's economies. Makutano formulates an African response to the economic issues of the Congo and the sub-region while opening the reflection to leading international partners. At each edition, a panel discussion is organized between the private sector and the world of culture on "Culture, a lever to build a new Africa".

The museums

The Institute of National Museums of Congo (IMNC) is the repository of the cultural, tangible and intangible heritage of the DRC. It manages all the national museums of the Congo.
