Three States Join the World Heritage Convention

Three States have recently signed the World Heritage Convention.

This will bring the total of States Parties to the Convention to 170. The three States, with the dates on which they deposited their instrument of ratification or acceptance, are:

  • Liberia 23 March 2002
  • Barbados 09 April 2002
  • Marshall Islands 24 April 2002

The Convention will come into force for the three countries three months after the date of deposit.
