Procurement Notice/Advertisement Open International Competition (OIC) Country of Destination: Bosnia and Herzegovina Reference Number: 269BIH1000/1/ICT Description: Supply and delivery of information-communication technologies equipment (notebook computers) for education institutions Deadline for Submission of Sealed Tenders: 10 January 2022 by 17.00 CET Posting Date: 20 December 2021

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invites qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:

Supply and delivery of information-communication technologies equipment (notebook computers) for education institutions under the Shape the Future programme by Microsoft, within the project "Re-imagining Education for Marginalized Girls and Boys during and post COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina".

This procurement process is organized by UNESCO, on the behalf of UNESCO and UNICEF, and therefore certain segments of the services will be contracted by these two respective Organizations, depending on the funds’ availability and the types of services to be contracted.

The purpose of this notice is to provide general information on the requirements for the procurement process and to inform interested suppliers how to obtain a copy of the Solicitation Documents.

Companies interested to participate in the ITB must request for a complete set of Solicitation Documents, available free of charge, from UNESCO’s contact person at the address shown below.

In order to be eligible to apply, the companies should fulfil and prove the following:

  • Equipment should be delivered with preinstalled Windows 10 Pro as this purchase is done through Microsoft’s Shape the Future program. All technical specifications provided under this ITB are eligible for this program. The Letter of Eligibility will be given to the winning offeror once the contract is signed. (Catalogue/technical specification of the offered products and equipment should be submitted)
  • The interested companies offering these services must ensure the service and maintenance of equipment in Bosnia and Herzegovina by certified companies during the warranty period and only the companies which can provide such services in BiH are eligible to apply. (Statement regarding warranty, service and after-sales support must be submitted)
  • Equipment should be new and unused (Statement on state of the equipment must be submitted)
  • Expected delivery date is maximum of 120 days from the day of contract signing (statement on delivery deadline must be delivered)

The technical specifications and number of required pieces of equipment is in the attached document “ICT equipment specifications and quantities MPTF”.

The sealed tenders must be delivered to the Antenna in Sarajevo of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, UN House, Zmaja od Bosne bb, 71000 Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on or before 10 January 2022 at 17.00 hours (CET), in strict compliance with the instructions as stipulated in the Solicitation Documents.

UNESCO reserves the right to amend the documents at any time during the solicitation process. Any amendments or clarifications will be communicated directly to all bidders who have requested for a complete set of solicitation documents and officially confirmed their intention to submit a sealed tender. No remuneration will be made to companies for the preparation and submission of their tenders.
