Jean-Michel JARRE

The French artist, composer, performer and pioneer of electronic music Jean-Michel Jarre was named UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in 1993 in light of his commitment to the promotion of cultural heritage and the value of tolerance, especially among the youth. 
Well renowned for his impact on electronic music in France and abroad, Jean-Michel Jarre performs for millions of spectators using lasers and pyrotechnics. He uses this extraordinary platform to promote cultural pluralism and tolerance, and to raise awareness on climate change issues in emblematic places,  
In his capacity as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, he contributes to the reflections on artificial intelligence initiated by the Organization and participates in the defense of copyright in the digital environment, notably through his advocacy actions with the decision-makers and general public.
