What exactly can we do to fight global warming? Where do we start? To help provide practical answers, Antonius Willms and Lennart Paar decided to create the Eevie app to drive engagement through gamification.
Although many citizens and companies want to play their part in fighting global warming, they don’t always know where to start or what to do to help limit temperature increases. So, Antonius Willms and Lennart Paar designed a digital tool to increase engagement and foster climate-friendly behaviours. The aim? Make change easier, more rewarding and empowering through gamification.
Designed for individuals and organisations, the Eevie app is a “climate guide to a sustainable life” that facilitates behaviour change by fostering knowledge and awareness –especially given that many of us are not fully aware of our carbon impact. By tracking your emissions, setting goals to reduce them, and balancing your unavoidable emissions (by planting trees), you can create more climate friendly habits one day at a time.
Eevie also collaborates with business schools and companies to reach out to more people, foster environmental awareness from within and collectively promote sustainability.
Download the app to join a community committed to building a climate-friendly future for all and start making eco-friendlier choices every day.
Peru and Bolivia are united by a strong cultural link and a large biodiversity. Unfortunately, they are affected by the same threats: climate change, pollution and environmental destruction. The Andean Regional Project is a joint initiative to move forward together to ensure environmental sustainability for future generations.
Felipe de Olviveira Morbi is convinced that the macaúba is part of the solution. He believes that this Brazilian tree can help meet the demands of the world’s population for food, energy and sustainability goals.
The Chesapeake Monitoring Cooperative is the first project of its kind in the United States, creating a regional network of community science/participatory science monitoring programs collecting data in a consistent way across the Chesapeake Bay watershed. To inform management and restoration decisions.
