Sub-regional webinar on “Quality education: Estonian experience”

25 February 2022 - UNESCO in cooperation with the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO and Embassy of Estonia in Nur-Sultan , Kazakhstan organized a webinar on “Quality education: Estonian experience”.

Within the webinar, Ms Gunda Tire, Head of International Assessments, Education and Youth Board of Estonia cover a wide range of topics, including teacher training and development, school management, support to students with different learning needs, assessments and accreditation, digitalization of education and online learning. She also talked about financing and resource provision at schools and other educational entities, including professional education. A truly diverse and big group of participants from organizations of pre-school education, to adult education centers, and non-profit organizations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan actively engaged with questions, which showed importance of this learning exchange and its relevance. The event was organized at the request of and in cooperation with the “Union of Education Institutes” and “KG Analytics” intellectual Fund (Kyrgyzstan). These organizations expressed their interest to continue this collaboration with UNESCO and to learn more about Estonian experience in education.
