Close digital divides and enhance connectivity for education

Pix gives everybody free access to online tests and pedagogical content to develop digital skills. Its reference framework covers all general digital skills and constitutes an appropriate curriculum for digital skills. The platform is fully online and can be used on computers, tablets or smartphones (except for digital skills related to computer use), anywhere in the world. It then contributes to close the digital divide existing at international and national levels regarding the proficiency in digital skills, which are now crucial for employability and social inclusion. It is an innovative way to develop digital skills and literacy, that can be used at school and in distance learning schemes.
A dedicated platform for teachers, Pix Orga, allows them to monitor pupils' progress and gives them access to specific pedagogical recommendations according to their level.
Pix is committed to become a common good shared by an international community of schools and users.

Commitment

During the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning based on appropriate digital technologies is a key solution to ensure an efficient continuation of learning. Thanks to Pix, which offers access to fully online playful tests and tutorials in French, pupils can develop their digital skills from home, and send their results to their teachers directly from the platform. The teachers can monitor the work and progress of their pupils on the dedicated interface Pix Orga. Pix will allow an exceptional free access to Pix Orga to teachers and schools (Pix certification is not included).

The development of pupils' and teachers' mastery of digital skills is also, in itself, a key factor for the successful implementation of distance learning, by making them able to use digital tools in a appropriate manner. Beyond, it also contributes to strengthen learning systems in the long run.
