IBE to co-host The Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID 2021)

UNESCO-IBE in partnership with SEGi University, University of Malaya, Asia Pacific Research Association on Curriculum Studies (APRACSI), and Association of Professional in Curriculum and Educational Instruction (APROCEI), is organizing the Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID 2021). The conference will be held in SEGi University, Malaysia from the 30th September to the 3rd of October, under the theme of “Curriculum and Instructional Design for Sustainable Development.” The conference aims to explore the need for transformation of education, education systems, and curriculum in a post-pandemic world.
 
The conference will feature experts and practitioners from different regions participating in the curriculum renewal conversation. Ms. Stefania Giannini, the UNESCO Assistant Director General for Education will be delivering the first address for the opening ceremony. The IBE Director Mr. Yao Ydo will be a keynote speaker discussing "The Role of Curriculum in SDG and Education 2030." He will also deliver the closing speech on 3rd of October. The Director of UNESCO’s Division for Education 2030 Maki Katsuno-Hayashikawa will be delivering a keynote speech on “Ensuring Inclusion in Education: Moving from Commitment to Action”. The IBE Senior Education Expert Mr. Renato Opertti and Mr. Hugo Labate will join the Symposium of “Sustainability for Quality Education”, discussing curriculum transformation during Covid-19 and beyond. With various regions being represented, the conference will be an opportunity for collaboration between these experts on curriculum studies and development.
 
UNESCO-IBE will be hosting two curriculum-related virtual forums.

In response to global crises such as climate change, conflict, and the global pandemic, the conference seeks to create a synergy between sustainability and education while bridging the gap between theory and practice.
