Itay grew up in a small town, 15 km away from Tel Aviv. He has lived in a diverse community where young Christians, Jews and Muslims share the same reality, with its ups and downs, and with its lack of opportunities for them to grow and thrive. “It is all about dialogue and sharing ideas and experiences beyond what drives us apart.”

Meet Itay

“I started a social café in a fragile neighborhood. Café Eliyahu is a space for young people – whatever their background – to come together, share ideas and find ways to work together to make a positive change. The café is a cultural space for dialogue, exchange and different art expressions. Young people often come there to perform and display their art work, or to discuss current issues. This is our community space.” – Itay Weiss
