    The city of Lausanne has adopted measures to support single people and those most at risk in the event of contamination. Six emergency shelters are open 24/7 for homeless people. A hotline has been set for elderly and free delivlery services has been made available to most vulnerable groups.

    The Lausanne Office for Immigrants shares information to limit contamination and protect migrants and their relatives: health information related to COVID-19 has been translated into 21 languages and municipal decisions taken in relation to Coronavirus have been translated into eight languages.     Le Bureau lausannois pour les immigrés (BLI) a maintenu ses prestations sous forme de trois permanences téléphonique. La permanence d'accueil et d'orientation générale a lieu deux fois par semaine, le mardi et jeudi de 10h à 12h. La permanence emploi-formation (PEF), qui renseigne les personnes migrantes sur les questions liées à l'emploi et à la formation, a lieu les lundi et jeudi de 13h à 15h. Finalement, la permanence Info-racisme, qui offre soutien et informations à toute personne victime de racisme ou de discrimination raciale à Lausanne, a lieu les lundi et jeudi de 14h à 17h.

    Informations COVID-19 en plusieurs langues

    Le Bureau lausannois pour les immigrés (BLI) a compilé et mis à disposition sur son site Internet les principales informations sanitaires existantes sur le coronavirus, traduites en 21 langues (français, arabe, bosniaque, chinois, allemand, anglais, espagnol, farsi/dari/persan, croate, italien, portugais, romanche, roumain, russe, serbe, albanais, tamoul, tigrigna, turc, kurmanji et somalien). Le Bureau a également fait traduire les décisions municipales en lien avec le COVID-19 en huit langues (anglais, allemand, espagnol, italien, portugais, arabe, albanais et serbe, croate, bosniaque).

    The Migrants' Advisory Council of the city of Graz emphasizes the right of immigrants to information as a basic human right. The Council, in collaboration with the Graz city government, has worked to make information on COVID-19 not only available but accessible to immigrants living in Graz.

    Lancée dans le cadre de l’appel aux bonnes initiatives des villes du réseau ICCAR (SHS-UNESCO), cette veille informationnelle (COVID-19 – Paysage urbain montréalais) vise à recueillir des points de vue de fil de presse, des actions citoyennes et des mesures émises par la Ville de Montréal qui interpellent les valeurs d’inclusion sociales et culturelles dans la crise pandémique COVID-19. De plus, cette analyse média, blog, site web, etc. face à la crise du COVID-19 permettra : • de tirer des constats sur les préoccupations citoyennes, journalistiques et politiques envers les espaces publics montréalais dans les phases de confinement et de déconfinement ; • d'énoncer des perspectives quant : - à l’aménagement urbain, des espaces et des interfaces publiques et privées, et de l’habitat ; - aux enjeux urbains associés (sociaux, culturels, économique et environnementaux) et ; - aux champs de pratiques en architecture, en architecture de paysage, en design et en urbanisme.

    Stay Home Save Lives - City of Kadıköy (İstanbul) supports its residents with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable

    From the very beginning of the coronavirus (COVID 19) outbreak in Turkey, Kadıköy Municipality has developed its local practices in line with national measures and implemented an integrated service model for the prevention of the pandemic. The services under the “Stay At Home, Save Lives” title are carried out together with an integrated communication campaign and all communication channels of Kadıköy Municipality are mobilized in order to ensure that citizens stay at home during the pandemic.

    As persons living in nursing homes are especially affected by the curfew and visit bans due to the Corona pandemic, the Human Rights Office of the City of Nuremberg started the campaign #positivePost. We called for letters with season greetings adressed to the residents of nursing homes to bring some distraction to those who can´t see their family and friends. Within 10 days more than 500 letters, postcards, little paintings were sent to the office and transferred to different nursing homes. Because of the overwhelming feedbacks also in social medias the campaign will be continued as long as the curfew will last.

    The City of Barcelona launched a social media campaign using the hashtag #StopRacism (#StopRacisme in Catalan). The campaign highlights six activists who, in the context of the Covid-19 crisis, shared their views on how racism and xenophobia have escalated.
