Benefitting country(ies): Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Overview:

Living heritage in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is being exposed to a variety of threats, such as tropical cyclones and the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the island was deeply affected by explosive volcano eruptions, resulting in displacements and significant impacts to several sectors of society. This project provides funding to a series of workshops, bringing together indigenous communities in order to assess and identify their needs for the safeguarding of their living heritage in the context of ongoing disasters.
