UNESCO ASPnet has organized an online training on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) for primary school teachers in Africa. The training will be held for a period of 6 weeks between September and October 2021. It will involve asynchronous sessions on the UNESCO Open Learning Platform and live sessions on Zoom.

This training aims at equipping primary teachers in Africa with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to foster the cognitive, social and emotional and behavioural learning dimensions of GCED and associated transformative pedagogies. Ultimately, it seeks to empower learners, through their teachers, to engage and assume active roles in addressing and resolving local and global challenges in pursuit of peace, liberty, justice and sustainable human development.

The Training is made possible thanks to support of the Hainan Provincial People's Government, People's Republic of China.
