Closing Event of “Human Cities_Challenging the City Scale” Project in Tallinn

Closing Event of “Human Cities_Challenging the City Scale” Project in Tallinn

When:
Mon, 09/10/2018 to Sun, 09/16/2018

Since 2014, the project Human Cities_Challenging the City Scale, coordinated by Cité du design, Saint-Etienne, gathers European 12 partners from 11 cities, including 6 UNESCO Creative Cities. Co-financed by the programme Creative Europe of European Union, the project explores how inhabitants (re)invent the contemporary city and experiment its scales.

After 4 years of cooperation, the partners met in Tallinn, Estonia, for a final event organised from 10 to 16 September during the Design Festival Disainiöö. They shared the outcomes, results and lessons learnt of their urban experiences through an expo-lab, a conference, prototypes, and launched the final book of the project co-published with Birkhauser untitled “Challenging the City Scale – Journeys in People-centred design”.
