EU funded “Skills Development for Employability in Rural Areas of Uzbekistan” project organized second meeting of Technical Working Groups in Bostanliq area.
The main objectives of this meeting are:
- To present the findings from the field missions conducted,
- To discuss the identified existing gaps in the draft documents of: (i) TVET strategy in agriculture and irrigation sector, (ii) Quality Assurance Framework and draft Quality Standard for Training Institutions, (iii) Occupational Profile Template, (iv) Occupational Standard Template
- To jointly agree on the necessary follow-up actions to ensure the completion of related implementation activities.
Representatives from Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Water Resources, The State Inspection for Supervision of Quality in Education, Institute for Labour Market Research, Republican Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms and Landowners, Institute for Pedagogical Innovation, National and International experts participated at the meeting. The project will provide assistance to Uzbekistan in developing, testing and piloting new initiatives and approaches, including the training of teachers and trainers in the agriculture and irrigation sectors with a view to scaling up transversal methods, hightechnology agriculture and food processing, and innovative approaches throughout the country.
