The mission of the UNESCO New York office is to promote the Organization’s values and activities in the areas of education, culture, sciences, communication, and information in the United Nations context.
At a time when the world is looking for new ways to build peace and sustainable development, including through the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, UNESCO is promoting the soft power of education, culture, sciences, communication, and information as drivers and enablers of a more just and prosperous future for all.
UNESCO New York Office works closely with all UN entities towards this objective through institutional representation, advocacy and outreach, and developing partnerships.
