Mbombela Local Municipality and the Tshwane University of Technology's Department of Tourism Management are pleased to announce the 2010 International Tourism Conference on Global Sustainable Tourism. This conference will take place at the Bundu Country Lodge, Mbombela, South Africa, from 15 to 19 November 2010.

The aim of the conference is to provide tourism scholars, practitioners, and other stakeholders with an opportunity to explore and debate issues relating to sustainable practices in tourism.

This conference offers a unique networking opportunity for scholars, industry experts, practitioners, government officials and policy makers to exchange ideas and information.

Conference Themes:

A key focus of the conference will be issues concerning Global Sustainable Tourism.  In addition, the following four subthemes will be offered in parallel sessions:

  • Effective Sustainable Tourism Management
  • Social and Economic Impacts: Local Community
  • Cultural Heritage
  • Environmental Sustainability

A maximum of two papers can be presented by one person and should be no more than 500 words in length, excluding references.
