BEEP Provides Supplementary Online Learning to Lower Secondary School Students

The ICT-based Basic Education Equivalency Programme (BEEP) has been made available for the public as a supplementary learning resource for lower secondary school students (grade 7 – 9), upon announcement of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS), in light of the Covid-19 outbreak. Students can access this interactive learning platform free-of-charge, through computers and mobile devices, via this link.

BEEP, in addition to other online learning platforms provided by the MoEYS, is instrumental for Cambodian students who have been instructed to self-study at home throughout the school closure period. Comprised of 11 subjects, BEEP enables Cambodian youth to pursue their educational interest while continuing professional activities.

BEEP is a joint initiative between UNESCO, MoEYS and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT), with financial support from Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), to provide a flexible, self-paced alternative learning platform for lower secondary school dropouts. More information on BEEP can be accessed here: https://en.unesco.org/fieldoffice/phnompenh/basic-education-equivalency

1. Go to http://beep.moeys.gov.kh using any computers and mobile devices.

2. Start learning by clicking on any of the 11 subjects. No registration is required.
