Many teachers, parents and citizens are keen to develop pedagogical gardens, which have more than proven their worth in promoting Education for Sustainable Development. However, these projects can be tricky to implement and difficult to maintain. The teams don’t necessarily have the right teaching tools.

Targeted gardening tools

This is why Eric Duchemin – Director of the Laboratoire d’Agriculture Urbaine (AU/LAB) and Associate Professor at the Institute of Environmental Sciences at the University of Quebec – and team members at AU/LAB launched Jardiner mon école (Garden My School). Their website is packed with practical worksheets, activities and games developed by educational and urban agriculture specialists.

To share bright ideas and inspire new green initiatives, Jardiner mon école also promotes the projects launched by educational gardens in Quebec. The site is now looking to shine light on gardens across Canada, France and Belgium.
