Launch of Children's Book: Let’s Explore the Memory of the World
Children living in the digital age exchange news and knowledge with the external world at an unprecedented speed and volume. As increasingly diverse media provide educational platforms and resources to the young generation, UNESCO continues to develop reading materials for children which are open and form their cognitions of mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence.
This children’s book Let’s Explore the Memory of the World, produced in the aim to introduce the value of documentary heritage to young children, comprises written and illustrated descriptions as well as carefully compiled information and photographs about the Memory of the World’s missions and inscriptions.
UNESCO Bangkok is pleased to celebrate the launch of the book in conjunction with the Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2021 by inviting educators, librarians, archivists, custodians of Memory of the World inscriptions, and all those interested in the use of the book to promote intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding and cultural literacy.
The event will be held online via Zoom on 25 October 2021 at 12:00-13:45 Bangkok Time (GMT+7).
