Do you wish to be part of the UNESCO Higher Education (HED) change movement?

Do you wish to be part of the UNESCO Higher Education (HED) change movement?

UNESCO is calling youth participation through consultations to raise your voices and change HED systems in the upcoming World Higher Education Conference (WHEC2022) - Barcelona, 18 to 20 May 2022 - the decade's Conference that will open the door to creative and visionary conceptions, paving the way for more sustainable and inclusive societies.

The WHEC2022 Youth Consultations are open for all youth from all backgrounds and regions, as an opportunity to speak up, independently of having gone through a higher education institution or not. This will help UNESCO to gain broad knowledge on youth perspectives on higher education: What are your views, dreams, and hopes? What are your best memories and your life-changing learning experiences? In a word, if YOUth were to define the future of HED, what would it look like, and how would we get there?

You will be able to give your opinion on the following challenges concerning higher education: well-being, governance, digital futures, sustainability, bridging the gap with the professional world, Indigenous youth, migration, inclusion, and Covid-19.

Key insights and best recommendations of youth participants will be voted on by all youth and integrated into the final HED 2030 Roadmap, guiding the worldwide higher education community in their next steps towards the Agenda 2030 and beyond.

UNESCO will recognize youth participation in the WHEC2022 Youth Strategy with credentials.

Do you need another reason not to join in? Take the consultation surveys (available in English, French and Spanish) and participate.

It's YOUth time!

The WHEC2022 Youth Strategy and the Youth Platform are calling you. Join us!
