Han MEILIN

Han Meilin, one of the most versatile artist in today’s China, was appointed UNESCO Artist for Peace in October 2015, in light of his long-term commitment to promoting art and artistic education in China, notably through projects led by the Han Meilin Art Foundation.

Han Meilin work’s cover a wide range of artistic forms, including calligraphy, porcelain, design and painting. He is mostly recognized across the world for his creation of the Fuwa dolls, the mascots for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

As President of the Han Meilin Foundation, he supports cultural education, artists and cultural programmes in Asia, Africa and around the world.
