Zurab TSERETELI

The President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Zurab Tsereteli, was appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in March 1996, in light for his lifelong commitment to tolerance and mutual understanding. 
In his capacity as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, he promotes cultural and artistic projects, especially among youth. He contributed to the success of numerous projects and activities organized with the Organization such as the Second International Forum entitled “World Culture as a Resource for Sustainable Development” held in Moscow in September 2017. 
In January 2014, Mr Tsereteli was awarded with the UNESCO Five Continents gold medal in recognition of his efforts to support young talent in the Russian Federation. 
In addition, he is also the President of the Moscow International Foundation for Support to UNESCO, the UNESCO International Chair of Fine Arts and the International Centre of Design.
