Building peace in the minds of men and women

Right to Education Partners

Establishing and strengthening efficient channels promoting knowledge-sharing, peer learning and collaboration is an essential component of the UNESCO Strategy on UNESCO standard-setting instruments.

Collaboration within the UN system

UNESCO has the principal role and responsibility in the field of the right to education in the United Nations system and cooperates with the following United Nations human rights bodies in monitoring the implementation of treaties and conventions relating to that right.

Collaboration between UNESCO and civil society

Since its inception, UNESCO has recognized that non-governmental organizations, associations and the intellectual community with concerns close to its own, play an important role in international cooperation.

UNESCO has built a network of cooperative relations with a number of such organizations in its fields of competence, thereby enabling it to work with civil society in achieving its objectives and to disseminate through them its democratic and ethical ideals.
