UNFIP - UNESCO Agreement

Will contribute resources towards site management, capacity building, alternative livelihoods for communities, research and fundraising activities.

Objectives

In April 2004, the World Heritage Centre entered into a US$ 5 million, biodiversity programme to protect India's World Heritage sites, Manas and Kaziranga and their endangered species including the one-horned rhinoceroses, tiger, pygmy hog, Indian rhinoceros and elephant.
