On 17 and 18 May 2022, Kırşehir (Turkey), a UNESCO Creative City of Music since 2019, will host its International Music Conference.

Organized in collaboration with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, the Conference will welcome a diversity of participants, with a total of 62 academics from across the globe, as well as speakers from UNESCO Creative Cities of Music including Hannover (Germany), Kansas City (United States of America), Mannheim (Germany) and London (Canada). Participants will share their respective experiences in addressing locally the challenges that the music industry is currently facing.

This event will be held in a hybrid format to ensure its accessibility to international speakers and audience. Interested participants are invited to take an active part in the dialogue, sharing ideas on how to harness musical creativity as a tool for local development and international cooperation.

Providing free access and live music throughout the two-day event, Kırşehir International Music Conference will showcase the city’s inclusive stance, fostering access to culture and creativity for a global and diverse audience.
