UNESCO IITE took part in a round table dedicated to the 75th anniversary of UNESCO

UNESCO 75 round rable

75 years ago, representatives of 44 states agreed to establish an educational, scientific and cultural organization within the framework of the UN, designed to promote “intellectual and moral solidarity of humanity”. The round table “75 years of UNESCO: achievements in education, science and culture for the benefit of peace and well-being of peoples”, organized by the Russian State Library on November 16, 2021, was dedicated to this anniversary date.

The purpose of the event was to attract additional attention to the activities of UNESCO. It was attended by representatives of the UN system institutions located in Russia and their partner organizations, Russian experts, readers of the Russian State Library, teachers and students of Moscow universities.

UNESCO IITE was represented at the round table by the Programme Specialist Ms. Tatiana Murovana, who reviewed UNESCO’s activities related to the use of information and communication technologies and the study of their impact on the development of education, information and communication over the past 20 years.
