Irena Caquet

PROGRAMME SPECIALIST

Irena Caquet has been Programme Specialist in the Europe and North America Unit at the World Heritage Centre since September 2021. Prior to joining the Centre, she served as Desk Officer for Europe and North America in the Sector for External Relations at UNESCO. She also served as Special Assistant to the President of the 40th General Conference of UNESCO.

She has a PhD in International Relations from the University of Cambridge. Her research focused on the role of UNESCO in sustaining cultural diversity.
