Zerihun Hurisa Asrat

Nationality: Ethiopia
UN Working Languages:
English

Mr Zerihun Hurisa Asrat has been working in culture and cultural related issues in both government and private sectors for about the last 15 years. The arranged opportunities to work and visit different parts of his country helped him know the untouched cultural potentials of Ethiopia. From these experiences, he developed encouraging hopes to protect and promote Ethiopia’s diversity of cultural expressions. Currently, he works at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as one of the cultural industry experts, which has given him the opportunity to implement the national and internationally accepted existing legal frameworks to enrich culture. His goal is to enable culture to play significant roles in the economic, social and political development of his country.
