War in Ukraine

UNESCO is scaling up the delivery of emergency support to people across Ukraine in its fields of competencies. This war must stop now. The people in Ukraine desperately need peace. And the people around the world demand it.

We must give peace a chance

The war is not irreversible. The Secretary-General calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of all Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.

We must safeguard the cultural heritage in Ukraine, as a testimony of the past but also as a catalyst for peace and cohesion for the future, which the international community has a duty to protect and preserve.
