MOST School: Addressing Inequalities and Urban Inclusion in Jordan

The first Jordanian national MOST School will be organized by UNESCO and the University of Jordan (UOJ), in Amman, Jordania, from 29 to 31 July 2019.

 

Organized in the context of UNESCO's Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme, MOST Schools are capacity-building activities focused on strengthening the competencies for evidence-informed decision-making in Member States.

 

This MOST School proposes to develop the capacity of young researchers and policy stakeholders in policy and action-oriented research and dialogue to support long-term sustainable development, under the theme “Addressing Inequalities and Urban Inclusion in Jordan”.

 

The two days will witness a mixture of panel discussions on cutting-edge research and actions on the ground and two workshops on applied development policy research, leading to a recommendation and identification of further collaborative policy research dialogue in Jordan.

 

The profiles of 25-35 participants/trainees include:
- Master and PhD students from social sciences (inter-disciplinarity is encouraged).
- Young professionals from line ministries including students from National School of Administration.
- Activists and experts from civil society organizations.
