IV ONLINE EUROPE-ASIA FORUM ON EDUCATION “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN OUR SOCIETY”

UNESCO Clubs movement calls for joining efforts for a more peaceful and sustainable world

By the initiative of the European and Asia-Pacific Federations of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO, the IV online Europe-Asia Forum on Education “Sustainable development in our society” will be organized on October 29-30, 2021. In the year of 75th Anniversary of UNESCO, 40th Anniversary of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations (WFUCA) and 20 years of activities of the European Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO, the project will create a platform to overview the important initiatives with a focus on the Agenda 2030.

The main aim of the Forum is to analyze the interdependence between the natural, social, cultural and economic environment development and prosperity, and to share best practices on integrative and inclusive role of education in promoting a sustainable development in our society.

This year due to the pandemic the event will be organized in a virtual format with the support of the European and Asian-Pacific Federations of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO and in cooperation with WFUCA.

It is expected that the IV Europe-Asia Forum on Education “Sustainable development in our society” will gather members of the global UNESCO Clubs movement, representatives of UNESCO Headquarters and National Commissions for UNESCO as well as interested participants from the different international organizations, academia, non-governmental and private sectors.

As the result of the event, the Conference proceedings will be published in a special digital and hard copy volume. Organizers invite all interested parties to join efforts for a more peaceful and sustainable world.
