world partner, world help, hands on

Become a partner

Becoming a partner of UNESCO allows to work on promoting shared values, knowledge and networking opportunities, as well as sharing strategic priorities. Partnership focuses on areas that are strategic priorities shared by UNESCO and its partners. UNESCO offers its partners the opportunity to channel their support to global programs that are coordinated from UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

UNESCO's programmes respond to the needs of its Member States that fall within its biennial program and budget. This provides partners with the assurance that their engagement with UNESCO is part of a broader plan and linked to high-level results, including the 2030 Agenda. UNESCO expects its partners to commit to its vision and values.

UNESCO's engagement with donors is always framed by a commitment to transparency, impact, mutual accountability and the pursuit of a long-term sustainable partnership.

Ways of partnering with UNESCO

Financial support and resource mobilization

Partners can support by providing financial resources to UNESCO's programs. Can also help with fundraising through joint campaigns and outreach activities.

Advocacy, knowledge sharing and innovation

Working together in outreach and advocacy to change mindsets, influence behaviours and raise awareness, as to promote learning, sharing of experiences and best practices, and building capacity.

Programme delivery ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Non-profit organisations can act as specialized partners in the implementation of UNESCO's programs by providing their unique added value, often contributing in cash or in kind.

Multi-stakeholder partnerships

Bringing together governments, international organisations, NGOs, civil society and private sector leaders to achieve common goals through strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships and coalitions.
